Abel & Cain, the sons of Adam & Eve, presented the fruits of their labour (Sheep/Cattle & Grain) to their God. God overlooked Cain’s grain, favouring Abel’s Cattle. Cain was gutted by this and in a fit of rage he killed Abel. God banished Cain & his offspring to ‘wander the Earth’. A bizarre decision. We think this ‘god’ was Enlil who seems to have been the ultimate ‘Giga-Brat’ in history.
Perhaps this is just a myth, invented to control, or maybe we can see Cain’s bitterness over and again in our history and present.
